VisionQuest — Vision has his memories back, but the feelings are harder to recover

Vision remembers loving Wanda, but recovering a memory is not the same as recovering the feeling. VisionQuest follows the rebuilt android as he tries to understand himself. In his mind, AI programs offer advice in human form; outside it, he lives under cover. For viewers curious about Vision and his relationships, rather than only the next large-scale battle, this Marvel series has a distinctive starting point.
Covers the opening premise and Vision’s situation after WandaVision. Thomas’s identity and later outcomes are not revealed.

A boy interrupts Vision’s life in hiding
Vision is working in an Edinburgh pub, hiding from people who would turn him into a weapon. His quiet existence ends when a bounty is placed on him. He goes on the run with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be his reincarnated son. Their flight and the uncertainty surrounding their connection form the starting point of the official Disney+ synopsis.
The essential background is that the Vision who emerged from WandaVision has not simply returned unchanged. What he remembers and what he now feels do not quite match. Meeting Thomas raises the question of whether a remembered family can become a relationship in the present. The series follows WandaVision and Agatha All Along. Disney’s cast and creator interview

Early reviews: performances and the amount of explanation
In his review of episodes 1–2, MoviePress editor Kim Do-hyeong praised Bettany’s restraint and Spader’s sardonic manner, finding tension in their exchanges without a major action scene. He also felt the first episode slowed as it introduced numerous AIs and explained the background, and found the mansion’s presentation less fresh than WandaVision’s approach. Tom’s Guide’s Alix Blackburn also reviewed the first two episodes. She welcomed the mindspace concept and the return to questions of identity, while criticizing lengthy recaps and repetitive explanatory conversations. Both reviewers found promise in the cast and premise while questioning the time spent explaining them. The cast’s exchanges may appeal to viewers looking for a dialogue-led Marvel story, while the amount of setup may be a drawback for those seeking brisk action.
