Following a friend into another world
In the novel, Digory and Polly are neighbours in London. They enter the laboratory of Digory’s uncle Andrew, where Polly touches a yellow ring and disappears. Digory follows, taking the rings they will need to return. A magical experiment sets their adventure in motion, rather than the discovery of a wardrobe in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
